Our brief was to create four cabinets with dual purpose; to act as gallery display cases for exhibits and also as children's activity units.
We designed the cabinets with a display shelf underneath toughened glass for exhibits to be displayed.
Each of the four units are on lockable casters so that the curator can move them around the gallery space easily.
To transform the cabinets into work areas, three of the side flaps simply lift and lock into place and inside the drawers is enough storage space for mats, pens, paper etc.
We also supplied Rufford gallery with eight of our Avenir stools and added rails to the bottom of the cabinets so that they can be stored away and transported easily when not being used.
