Lea desk

A retired architect asked us to create his dream desk for him using oak and walnut. The dimensions had to be just right to fit into the space, which had a skirting board, radiator on the wall where the drawers pull out, an angled roof and a pillar on the back wall.

The wide desk has plenty of storage in the curved drawers either side and the walnut legs appear to run all the way through into the handles of the drawers and are mirrored in the bespoke shelf unit fitted above the desk.

A linoleum inlay to the top makes for a practical and durable surface, plus there is a useful wire box built into the back of the desk which holds an extension cable and keeps all wires hidden away.

In the centre of the desk is the full length plan drawer for storing architect drawings.
